This role is ideal for individuals with experience in mental health, care, SEN support, youth work, or those passionate about helping young learners overcome barriers to education.Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored support to pupils with mental health and emotional needs.Assist with emotional regulation, behaviour strategies, and coping techniques.Encourage engagement in learning and promote a safe, supportive environment.Build positive, trusting relationships to help improve confidence and well-being.Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to implement support plans.Support pupils in both classroom settings and designated intervention spaces. The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Experience as a Mental Health Support Worker or similar role.A patient, nurturing, and empathetic approach.Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with young people.Understanding of SEMH, anxiety, trauma-informed practice, or behaviour support.A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners.Enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
