Tradewind Recruitment are supporting a Birmingham secondary academy seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Catering Supervisor to join their team. This is a key role at an exciting time, as the school works to improve its catering service and provide an enjoyable, high-quality dining experience for students. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will take a lead role in the day-to-day running of the catering service, ensuring high standards of food production, hygiene, safety and customer care. This position is full time, term-time plus one week (37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday 07:00-15:00). Salary is dependent on experience and qualifications. Key Responsibilities Support planning and delivery of menus and food production Oversee meal service, food preparation and safe storage Maintain accurate hygiene and safety records Manage stock, ordering, deliveries and cost control Lead, support and develop catering staff Promote excellent service and a positive dining experience Contribute to financial monitoring and reporting Ideal Candidate Experience in large-scale catering, ideally in education Hygiene Certificate (essential); catering qualification desirable Strong organisation and leadership skills Positive approach, high standards and commitment to healthy eating Enhanced DBS required If you are motivated and passionate about delivering a great school catering service, apply today.
