Management Accountant – Publishing | Hybrid (2 days in office)Our client is a well-established and forward-thinking publishing company with a strong reputation for quality, creativity, and growth. As they continue to expand their operations, they are looking for a Management Accountant to join their finance team and support business performance through insightful reporting and analysis.Role Overview: This role offers a broad remit across month-end reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and business partnering. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Management Accountant will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of financial data and supporting commercial decision-making across the business.Key Responsibilities: Prepare monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet and variance analysis Support the annual budget and quarterly reforecasting process Provide commentary on performance, highlighting risks and opportunities Work closely with operational teams to monitor costs and support business planning Reconcile key accounts and maintain accurate financial records Assist in year-end audit preparation and statutory reporting Drive improvements in reporting processes and financial systems Candidate Profile: ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified or part-qualified Experience in management accounting, ideally within media, publishing or related sectors Strong Excel and financial modelling skills Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines Confident communicator, able to liaise with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
