SEN Teaching Assistant - Greenwich Remedy Education are working with a large Secondary school based in Greenwich The School are looking to appoint the Teaching Assistant to work across KS3 and KS4 The role is supporting a pupils on a 1:1 basis. You will be expected to deliver personalised interventions and activities which are tailored to the particular child you will be supporting. This role is for the full academic year and there is potential for this role to become permanent. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the team and provide personalised support for children ensuring they receive the assistance they need to thrive in their education. Your responsibilities will include: Assisting in the implementation of personalised learning plans for SEN students Support children working at a level below expected Personal care Plan and deliver interventions Phonics support Offering 1:1 and small group support for children with ASD. Helping create a nurturing, positive, and inclusive learning environment Supporting classroom activities and adapting resources to meet student's needs Encouraging social, emotional, and academic development Collaborating with teachers, SEN coordinators, and other professionals to deliver targeted interventions Requirements Experience working with children, especially those with SEN, is highly desirable Patience, compassion, and a positive approach to supporting children's learning Excellent communication and teamwork skills A genuine passion for working in education and helping children succeed An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one) Minimum 6 months experience within a School environment How to Apply: If you're ready to take on this exciting opportunity and become part of a caring, supportive team, please apply with your CV.
