* Advising internal clients on all aspects of Adult Social Care.* Providing legal advice to the council's Adult Social Care service with a focus on Court of* Protection work as well as ancillary matters such as ordinary residence; responsibilities under the Care Act 2014; funding disputes; Mental Health Act 1986 queries.* Drafting court applications to the Court of Protection/High Court/County Court.* Instructing counsel in relation to any Court proceedings ensuing from the drafted court applications.* Drafting court orders and liaising with the Court.* Conducting professional's meetings (both round table and advocate meetings).* Providing general adult social care and mental health legal advice.* Such other duties and responsibilities of a similar grade and nature as may be required.* To monitor changes in legislation and case law affecting the range of matters dealt with within the team and update other team members and clients.
