Our client, operating within London's Public Sector, is seeking a Senior Parking Design Engineer on a contract basis. This role involves end-to-end management of various projects within the Traffic Management, Road Safety, and Parking Design portfolio. The successful individual will operate under the programme management of the Senior Project Manager, ensuring that projects align with corporate and other priorities. Key Responsibilities: End-to-end management of multiple projects, including regular progress reporting Initial project definition, scoping, and benefits mapping Establishing pre and post scheme outcome monitoring requirements Budget control, project administration, and financial reporting Preparation and presentation of various reports and briefings Preparation of consultation or engagement materials and leading external communication strategies Identifying potential project funding sources and preparing necessary approvals and bid submissions Providing input to continuous improvement, process efficiency, and value engineering initiatives Developing and managing scheme briefs for consultants and contractors Key Tasks and Responsibilities: Developing an evidence base for proposed schemes Arranging necessary site investigations and data collection Developing a range of options to achieve scheme outcomes with a view to selecting a preferred option Project managing works funded by other Council teams and external developers Monitoring and evaluating the work and invoices of consultants and contractors Maintaining, monitoring, reporting, forecasting, and reviewing project budgets Liaising with internal teams and groups within Environmental Services and the wider Council Responding to inquiries from the public and/or Councillors Designing, managing, and implementing public consultations and disseminating information to stakeholders Maintaining systematic, intuitive, and accessible records Conducting regular site visits during implementation and making necessary amendments to construction drawings Assisting the Senior Project Manager in assessing resources, tender submissions, and cost estimates Acting as the technical lead for projects, proficient in CAD software for highways and civil engineering design If you are an experienced Parking Design Engineer looking for a new opportunity to contribute to impactful projects within the highways sector, we encourage you to apply now and join our client's dedicated team.
