Herd Manager (Multiple Locations) Locations: Scotland South England Midlands Wales (optional based on roles available) Overview: We are seeking experienced and motivated Herd Managers to join progressive dairy farms across multiple regions. Key Responsibilities: Day-to-day herd management to ensure high standards of health, fertility and production Planning and implementing grassland management strategies to maximise grazing efficiency Use of AI (Artificial Insemination) – essential Calving management and youngstock oversight Working with vets and nutritionists to optimise herd performance Record keeping and data analysis for herd performance Leading, training and supervising farm staff Ensuring high standards of animal welfare, health & safety and compliance Ideal Candidate: Proven experience in a Herd Manager / Assistant Herd Manager / Senior Herdsperson role AI qualified and experienced Strong grassland management skills Excellent herd health and fertility knowledge Confident leading a team and organising daily routines Ability to use farm software and performance data (preferred) Passionate about high-welfare, efficient, modern dairy farming Flexible and able to work within a rota system Package: Competitive salary (dependant on experience) Accommodation provided on many farms Training and progression opportunities Supportive employers with modern setups
