Accounts Manager - Leading Accountancy Practice (Norwich)Location: Norwich | Type: Full-time | Salary: Competitive + benefitsA growing and forward-thinking accountancy firm is seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to join their Norwich office. This is an excellent opportunity to manage a diverse client portfolio, support the development of a talented team, and play a key role in delivering high-quality accounts services.As Accounts Manager, you'll take responsibility for managing a varied portfolio, covering sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies, while supporting senior team members and partners. You'll oversee workflow, review accounts, guide junior staff, and act as a trusted main point of contact for clients.This role provides variety, autonomy, and the chance to work closely with partners on strategic and client-focused initiatives.Key Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of clients and act as primary contactPlan jobs, set budgets and oversee work-in-progress (WIP)Quote fees and raise invoicesPrepare annual accounts and draft corporation tax computationsReview work prepared by team members and provide constructive feedbackSupport, train and mentor team membersCoordinate workloads and provide updates to partnersHandle ad-hoc assignments including management accounts and forecastsMaintain a professional LinkedIn presence (training can be provided)Promote and uphold the firm's values across all interactions About You ACA or ACCA qualifiedMinimum 3 years' experience in a senior accounts role within practiceStrong technical knowledge of UK accounting standardsExcellent communication skills and ability to build strong client relationshipsExperience mentoring and developing team membersCommercially aware with ability to identify opportunities for clientsConfident working both independently and within a teamSkilled in Sage, QuickBooks Online, Xero; CaseWare knowledge advantageous Apply TodayIf you're an ambitious Accounts Manager looking to take the next step in a supportive and dynamic practice, we'd love to hear from you.
