Day-to-day, you’ll be helping pupils who experience social, emotional and mental health challenges navigate school life with the support they need to succeed.What you’ll be doing
Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils who need help regulating emotions and staying engaged
Building strong, trusting relationships that help young people feel safe and understood
Supporting routines, behaviour plans and positive strategies across the day
Helping pupils re-engage with learning at a pace that works for them
Working closely with teachers, pastoral staff and the SEN team to keep support consistent
Celebrating every step forward, no matter how small
What the school is looking for
A calm, compassionate person who can stay grounded when things get tricky
Someone who communicates well and builds rapport quickly
Experience in SEMH, youth work, care, sport or mentoring is helpful, not essential
A team player who’s adaptable and ready to learn
Someone who sees the potential in every pupil, even when the day feels tough
