It’s also great experience if you’re considering teaching, coaching, youth work or SEN pathways in the future.What you’ll be doing Supporting pupils with additional needs both in PE lessons and across the school day Encouraging participation, confidence and positive routines Working 1:1 or in small groups to help pupils stay engaged and feel supported Helping adapt PE activities and classroom tasks so all pupils can access learning Using your strengths in motivation and relationship building to support emotional regulation Being a steady, encouraging presence for pupils who rely on clear boundaries and consistency Why this role suits PE graduates Your coaching, communication and teamwork skills transfer brilliantly You’ll use your understanding of motivation, routine and resilience every day Perfect experience for teacher training, sports coaching careers or SEN specialisms You’ll help pupils develop confidence both physically and socially What the school is looking for A positive, active and patient graduate Someone who can inspire, reassure and motivate pupils A team player who enjoys supporting young people with a range of needs Experience in coaching, youth work or SEN is helpful but not essential A calm, adaptable person who brings energy without overwhelming pupils Your personality and approach matter more than direct school experience.Why join Protocol Education?
