JOB TITLE: Grid and Development Co-ordinatorLOCATION: London OfficeCONTRACT TYPE: Permanent, Full-timeLINE MANAGER: Network Development LeadKEY STAKEHOLDERS: Distribution Network Operators, iDNO partners, planningconsultants, development and acquisition teams, site surveyingsuppliers Role OverviewThe Grid and Development Co-ordinator is responsible for securing and managing allelectrical grid connections and coordinating the end-to-end pre-construction developmentprocess for new EV charging sites. This role ensures that sites progress efficiently fromfeasibility through to construction readiness, aligning technical, commercial, and regulatoryrequirements. Key Responsibilities:Grid Applications: Own and manage all grid connection applications withDNOs/IDNOs to secure timely and cost-effective power supplies.Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with internal teams (development, design, construction) and external stakeholders (consultants, DNOs, landowners, local authorities).Pre-Construction Readiness: Coordinate and schedule all pre-construction surveys, planning submissions, and associated technical due diligence.Risk & Issue Management: Identify and manage risks to grid and site development timelines, escalating issues proactively.Reporting: Provide clear, regular progress updates on grid, surveying and development activities to senior management. Skills & Experience:Proven experience managing grid connection applications or similar infrastructure programmes (energy, utilities, renewables, or EV charging).Strong coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.Good understanding of UK power networks, DNO processes, and planning/development workflows.Excellent communication, attention to detail and stakeholder management skills.Collaborative team player with the ability to influence and build strong relationships across technical and non-technical stakeholders.Proactive, organised, and outcome focused. Desirable:Experience in the EV charging or renewable energy sector.Knowledge of construction readiness processes and utility interface requirements.Relevant degree or qualification in engineering, project management, or related field.
