This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator who is committed to delivering high-quality teaching and supporting pupils as they prepare for the transition into Key Stage 2.In this role of Year 2 Teacher, you will: Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons aligned with the KS1 National Curriculum.Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where pupils feel motivated and supported.Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development through effective differentiation.Prepare pupils for end-of-key-stage assessments and ensure progress is tracked accurately.Work closely with teaching assistants, SEN staff, and senior leaders to raise attainment and meet individual needs.Build strong relationships with parents and carers to support pupil progress and wellbeing.Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and safeguarding at all times. What You’ll Bring as a Year 2 Teacher: QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.Experience teaching in KS1, particularly Year 2, or strong Early Career Teacher (ECT) potential.A nurturing, patient, and proactive approach to teaching and learning.Strong classroom management, organisation, and communication skills.Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
