Electrical Technician Energy from Wastec£40,000 Kirkcaldy, ScotlandMC Technical Recruitment are partnered with a leading provider of energy from waste solutions for the recruitment of an electromechanical technician at their Energy from Waste plant near Kirkcaldy, Scotland. You will work Monday to Friday, days.We are actively seeking to recruit an experienced Electrically qualified Technician, to support a team of operators & technicians in carrying out planned & preventative maintenance across the power generation facility.As the Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for: Carry out planned & reactive maintenance on process plantInvestigating & rectifying electrical faults to minimise plant downtimeSupporting the operations team in daily maintenance activitiesResponding to breakdowns to ensure continuous operationsRecommend plant spares & repairs to Maintenance managerAssist the maintenance manager with statutory inspectionsLiaise with operations team regarding fault finding & modification to process equipmentWorking on a days basis to support operations across the site To be considered for this role you should have: NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering with 17th or 18th EditionProven experience in EfW or relevant sector (Biomass / CCGT / energy from waste / Water)Competency in three-phase and single-phase power, control circuits and equipment fault findingExperience of carrying out maintenance on Heavy Industrial Engineering process equipment such as steam boilers, turbines, pumps, water treatment plant & conveyorsKnowledge of all Health, Safety & Environmental legislation This is a permanent position; due to the location of the plant you will need a full UK driving licence to access the site.The offer: A generous basic salary of up to c£40,000PensionPrivate health cover25 days holidays, plus Bank Holidays To apply:If you are interested in this role please apply via the link below or contact Matt George at MC Technical Recruitment on / for a confidential chat.
