ABC Teachers are seeking a passionate and reliable 1-1 Support Assistant to work in a school within a SEN school in CoventryThe Role: You will be providing support to pupils in a classroom environment on a 1-1 basis, academically, emotionally and sociallyDelivering personalised, creative activities that reflect each students needs and interests and abilities, whilst adapting the materials as and when required Collaboratively work with teachers and other professionals in the school settingHelp maintaining a safe, inclusive environment and supporting the pupils and teachers as and when neededKeeping up to date and informed on regular routines for the pupils in your care to provide a comfortable and consistent school day The School: A specialist school in Birmingham, supporting children with a range of learning, medical and complex needsProvides a highly nurturing, structured environment where each pupil receives tailored teaching, support, and care designed to help them thriveEncouraging each child to reach their full potential – academically, socially, emotionally by tailoring to individual strengths and needs as required About you:To be considered for the 1-1 Support Assistant role, you will:Hold suitable qualifications such as Youth Work, Health and Social Care or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools are desired but not essential.Have strong communications skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with studentsAble to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.ABC Teachers is committed to safeguarding children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
