Job Title: Behaviour Mentor Location: Nottingham (NG3) Pay rate: £95–£120 per day (Depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-timeAre you someone who can build trust, encourage positive choices, and support young people who need extra guidance? GSL Education are looking for a Behaviour Mentor to work within schools across Nottingham (NG3), offering focused support to pupils who may face behavioural, emotional, or social challenges.As a Behaviour Mentor, you will help pupils manage their behaviour, develop resilience, and build strategies that enable them to succeed in the classroom. You will work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and sometimes parents or carers to ensure each pupil receives the right level of support.Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with behavioural or emotional needs.Help pupils understand triggers and develop self-regulation strategies.Work alongside teachers and pastoral leaders to implement behaviour plans.Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils to encourage engagement.Promote a positive and safe learning environment by following safeguarding procedures.Keep clear records and share relevant updates with school staff.
Prime Requirements:
Experience working with children or young people in a school, youth work, or similar setting.Strong communication skills and the ability to de-escalate challenging situations.A calm, consistent, and supportive approach.An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).A genuine passion for helping pupils overcome barriers to learning.
