We are extremely proud to offer very distinct and specialised case management services for adults and children recovering from an acquired / traumatic brain injury, spinal or catastrophic injuries and associated disabilities or conditions. The RoleWe are recruiting for a Female Support Worker to support a young lady with cerebral palsy and other complex needs living in her own home in the Huddersfield area. The client is a wheelchair user and communicates via low tech and gestures, she is able to express her wishes and preferences to those who know her well. The role will involve enabling the client to engage in rehabilitation, social and recreational activities, and empowering her to be as independent as possible. Flexible support required 2-1 care 24/7. The package will include 24/7 care during holidays and weekends.The client requires full moving and handling and all aspects of personal care. We are seeking staff with excellent communication skills and a desire to provide individualized support. Previous care experience with young adults is preferred but not essential as full training will be given along with input from therapists. Staff must be able to participate in a range of activities with the client, including hydrotherapy. Driver with full UK License essential.Please note we are NOT able to offer sponsorship for this role and therefore will not be able to progress any candidates who require a certificate of sponsorship to work in the UK.
