Job Description Private Client Solicitor Location: Chatham Salary: £45,000–£65,000 Progress Your Private Client Career with a Leading Chatham Law Firm Are you an ambitious Private Client Solicitor seeking a new challenge? Our client, a respected law firm in Chatham, offers the opportunity to manage a varied caseload, enjoy real career progression, and join an inclusive, supportive team. The Opportunity Location: Chatham, Kent (office-based with flexible/hybrid working considered) Salary: £45,000–£65,000 per annum Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm You'll be part of a forward-thinking firm that values your expertise and supports your ongoing development within a collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities Manage a diverse caseload of private client matters including wills, probate, trusts, estate administration, tax planning, and powers of attorney Advise and support clients with sensitivity and professionalism Draft and review legal documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance Liaise with clients, beneficiaries, financial institutions, and external professionals Keep up to date with changes in private client law and best practice Ensure compliance with all regulatory and firm standards What We’re Looking For 3–6 years’ PQE as a Private Client Solicitor UK private practice experience Strong technical knowledge of wills, probate, trusts, estate administration, and related areas Excellent client care, organisational, and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Relevant legal qualification (Solicitor or Legal Executive) Benefits & Perks Competitive salary: £45,000–£65,000 DOE Clear career progression and professional development support 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays Flexible and hybrid working options Pension scheme and discretionary bonus Supportive, inclusive team culture Modern offices in central Chatham, close to transport links Regular social events and wellbeing initiatives Ready to Take the Next Step?
