We are seeking a multi-skilled Facilities Technician to take ownership of site maintenance, repairs, and ensure the smooth running of production lines. This is a part-time position (2-3 days per week) with flexible working hours, offered on a temporary basis with the potential for long-term work. You'll thrive in a small company environment, be comfortable managing day-to-day tasks independently, and have a strong commitment to safety and compliance. You'll also play a key role in developing systems that support operational efficiency while maintaining compliance with safety standards. Key Responsibilities Carry out regular operational checks on plant equipment to minimise downtime. Maintain critical spare parts inventory to ensure continuity of production. Perform maintenance and repairs on plant machinery and facilities, including fault-finding and attending breakdowns promptly. Organise and manage external contractors, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within budget. Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements and site standards, including Health, Safety & Environmental regulations and documentation. What We're Looking For Previous experience as a multi-skilled maintenance technician. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to prepare Permits to Work and manage safe systems of work. Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations, including: Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 Work at Height Regulations LOLER (Lifting Operations & Lifting Equipment) Electricity at Work Regulations Pressure Equipment Safety Regulations COSHH and Local Exhaust Ventilation requirements Pay rates: £13 to £16 ph dependent on experience Shift Schedule: Part time 2/3 days a week.
