Are you an ambitious Family Law Senior Associate ready for a new challenge? Our client, a highly respected specialist law firm with a reputation for excellence, is opening a new London office in January 2026. This is a rare opportunity to be a key part of a dynamic team, influence the direction of a new branch, and access a genuine pathway to partnership.
The Opportunity
As a Family Law Senior Associate, you’ll play a pivotal role in launching and developing the London office. You’ll manage a varied caseload of complex family law matters, build relationships with high-calibre clients, and contribute to the strategic growth of the practice. This is an ideal role for a driven lawyer seeking autonomy, visibility, and the chance to shape a growing team.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a diverse caseload of family law matters, including divorce, financial remedy, child arrangements, and cohabitation disputes
Advise and represent clients in complex and high-net-worth cases
Supervise and mentor junior team members to support their development
Contribute to business development and the growth of the London office
Build strong client relationships and uphold the firm’s reputation for excellence
Collaborate with colleagues across offices to deliver seamless client service
Requirements
Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with at least 5 years’ PQE in family law
Significant experience managing complex family law cases, including financial remedy and children matters
Strong technical knowledge of UK family law and relevant procedures
Excellent client care, communication, and negotiation skills
Proven ability to supervise and develop junior lawyers
Track record of business development and building client relationships
Ambitious, proactive, and commercially minded
