Your decisions will directly affect customer experience, cashflow, and team performance.If you thrive on order, accountability, and building something properly — you will excel here.What You Will OwnYou are the operational control centre.Your responsibility is to ensure the business runs cleanly, predictably, and professionally — even as volume increases.Daily Own job flow in ServiceM8 from enquiry through to payment Enforce accuracy and completeness across all job cards Schedule engineers with logic, foresight, and accountability Communicate proactively with customers before issues arise Maintain clean, truthful queues and system data Chase overdue invoices confidently and professionally Hold engineers to standard on notes, photos, and job completion Identify problems early and resolve them with solutions Weekly Produce a clear, honest operations performance snapshot Track materials, POs, and supplier data accurately Support finance with reconciliation and controls Identify patterns in delays, complaints, or inefficiencies Contribute to short ops and sales alignment check-ins Improve systems rather than working around themRequirementsRequirementsEssential Able to commit 4–5 days per week during core business hours Comfortable starting on a trial basis with performance-based conversion Treats this role as a primary professional commitment UK-based Comfortable working remote-first initially Willing and able to work from a Bristol HQ later this year if the business centralises Confident using digital systems and job management platforms High attention to detail and zero tolerance for messy data Clear, professional communication with customers and trades Comfortable being measured on outcomes, KPIs, and standards Preferred Experience Operations, service coordination, scheduling, or dispatch roles Field service, trades, facilities, or maintenance environments Hands-on experience with ServiceM8 (or similar systems) Customer communication under time pressure Invoicing, payment chasing, or operational finance exposure Experience in fast-moving or scaling businesses Personal Qualities (Non-Negotiable) Strong ownership mindset — follows things through without reminders Naturally organised; feels uncomfortable when systems are messy Calm, decisive, and composed under pressure Proactive — anticipates issues rather than reacting late Confident and professional communicator Reliable, consistent, and trusted by others Adaptable as the business evolves High personal and professional standardsBenefits Benefits Conversion to permanent employment for the right person Permanent salary of £26,000–£30,000 (performance reviewed) Remote-first working initially Planned transition to a Bristol HQ later this year Full systems and operational training Direct access to leadership and decision-making Real responsibility and autonomy Long-term progression in a fast-scaling business 28 days holiday + pension Important (Please Read)This role is not suitable for: Casual freelancers Candidates seeking guaranteed remote-forever work People who avoid accountability Anyone uncomfortable with responsibility or performance measurement We are intentionally selective.Final NoteWe are not hiring for headcount.
