GEMS - TBS (The British School El-Rehab) are seeking an experienced Head of Science to lead and develop our Science Department. The successful candidate will provide strategic vision, lead a team of science teachers, and ensure high-quality teaching.Important note: The position is based in Cairo, Egypt, and candidates must be in Egypt or are willing to relocate.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, manage, and inspire the Science Department to achieve excellenceDevelop and implement a curriculum in line with the British CurriculumMonitor and evaluate teaching and learning across the departmentSupport teachers with lesson planning, assessment, and professional developmentPromote innovative teaching strategies and the use of laboratory resourcesEnsure a safe, well-organized, and stimulating learning environmentPrepare students for internal and external examinations (IGCSE, A-Level, or equivalent)Contribute to whole-school initiatives, events, and extracurricular activitiesRequirementsRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Science or Science Education (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or related)Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)Minimum 4 years teaching experience in a secondary school, with at least 2 years in a leadership roleExperience teaching IGCSE/A-Level Science preferredStrong leadership, communication, and organisational skillsPassion for science and student developmentAbility to work effectively in a multicultural environmentWillingness to relocate to Cairo, EgyptBenefitsTuition Discount for DependentsMedical Insurance Social Insurance Transportation upon availability
