About MuseCoolMuseCool is building The Muse - an intelligent practice companion for young musicians, starting with piano learners aged 4–12. Tutors use Muse to guide practice between lessons, give feedback, and keep parents engaged. Parents subscribe to access personalised practice tools, feedback, and progress insights.We’re now entering our go-to-market phase and aiming to onboard piano tutors across the UK and US between now and March, then convert their students’ families into paying subscribers from May onwards.We are a small, fast-moving London team. This is our first marketing hire.Role: Growth & Community Marketing ManagerThis role blends growth marketing, community-building, and product marketing.Your mission is to get tutors to sign up, actually use Muse with their students, and ultimately help convert parents into paying subscribers.This is a hands-on, experimental role ideal for someone who wants real ownership in an early-stage startup.What you'll doTutor AcquisitionRun outreach campaigns to piano tutors (email, LinkedIn, FB groups, communities)Build and optimise landing pages and simple funnelsTest and evaluate new tutor acquisition channelsTrack the funnel from tutor reached → activated student → paid parentTutor Community & ActivationBuild and manage a small community (FB/Slack/Discord)Run onboarding sessions, small group calls, and support eventsCreate templates and guides tutors can use with MuseParent Awareness & ConversionWork with product on messaging for parentsWrite email flows, landing pages, and in-app copyRun simple experiments to improve tutor → parent conversionProduct MarketingInterview tutors and parentsRefine our positioning and communicationHelp shape onboarding and feature announcementsGrowth AnalyticsRun weekly experiments with clear KPIsBuild lightweight dashboards to track tutor + parent behaviourReport what works — and kill what doesn’tYou’re a good fit if you have2–5 years experience in growth, community, lifecycle or product marketingHands-on experience running digital campaigns without agenciesStrong writing skills (landing pages, emails, product copy)Comfort talking directly to usersExperience running small experiments and analysing resultsAbility to thrive in early-stage ambiguity and move quicklyNice to have:Edtech, tutoring, music education, or marketplace experienceExperience running an online communitySalary & Benefits£35,000–£45,000 depending on experienceHybrid working from London (EC2M)Company pension (NEST auto-enrolment)Flexibility and autonomyDirect access to foundersOpportunity to shape our early go-to-market strategyHow to applyPlease submit your CV and answer this screening question:“Describe a growth or community experiment you personally ran end-to-end.What was the goal, what did you do, what were the results, and what did you learn?”Applicants who don’t answer the question will not be considered.
