As an Underwriter, you'll play a pivotal role in developing, negotiating, and profitably underwriting new and existing business within your authority. You'll work closely with brokers to build strong relationships, balancing customer retention and acquisition through competitive premiums. Key Duties: Underwrite as part of either the new business or business enquiries team in line with the Company's strategy and delegated authority Negotiate terms with brokers and clients to secure profitable business Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with underwriting standards Contribute to product development and pricing strategies Support team initiatives and collaborate across departments Candidate Profile: Preferably have proven experience in commercial underwriting, but will consider Broking background Strong broker/stakeholder relationship management skills Certificate in Insurance (Cert CII) preferred or willingness to work towards Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
