Our client, an esteemed organisation in the water sector, is currently seeking a highly skilled Design Manager to join their team on a contract basis in Manchester and Warrington, North West. This role involves managing both non-infrastructure and some infrastructure projects, with a hybrid work model available. Key Responsibilities: Overseeing the design processes for water sector projects Managing design teams and ensuring deliverables meet quality standards Coordinating with project managers and stakeholders to align design objectives Reviewing and approving design documentation and specifications Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards Managing design changes and updates throughout the project lifecycle Providing technical guidance and expertise to design teams Ensuring project timelines are adhered to and budget constraints are maintained Job Requirements: Significant experience in civil design management within the water sector Proven track record of managing design for both non-infrastructure and infrastructure projects Strong understanding of relevant industry standards and regulations Excellent leadership and team management skills Proficiency in design software and tools Strong communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment Relevant civil engineering degree or equivalent qualification Benefits: Competitive daily rate Hybrid work model Opportunity to work on significant projects within the water sector Long-term contract of two years Supportive and collaborative work environment If you are an experienced Design Manager with expertise in the civil sector and ready to take on a new challenge in the water industry, we would love to hear from you.
