Teaching Assistant (Secondary) Location: Large secondary school in a residential area of Newcastle Start date: ASAP Pay: £90 to £110 per day (PAYE only) Contract: Full-time, part-time or flexible supplyThis role is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting young people and wants to work in a well-established secondary setting. The school has a diverse student community, strong pastoral systems and a commitment to inclusion and aspiration.What you’ll be doing Supporting teaching and learning across a range of subjects in Key Stages 3 and 4. Working with pupils who benefit from structure, reassurance and targeted intervention. Assisting teachers with routines that help create a calm, purposeful learning environment. Delivering small-group or one-to-one activities to help pupils progress. Encouraging positive behaviour in line with the school’s values of respect, responsibility and ambition.
