Teaching Assistant Location: York, North Yorkshire Start Date: January 2026 Contract: Full Time, Term Time Only Salary: £88 – £110 per dayGSL Education is working closely with an Alternative Provision in York and are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their supportive and inclusive educational team. This is a full-time role providing hands-on support for learners with a variety of educational and social needs.About the Role: As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to help pupils access the curriculum, develop independence, and achieve their potential. You will support learning in the classroom, provide 1:1 support where needed, and help create a positive, safe, and engaging environment for all students.About the School: The school provides a nurturing and inclusive setting for children and young people who benefit from small-group teaching and personalised support. Pupils often have additional needs, including SEN, SEMH, or communication challenges.
