GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Geography Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking school in Barnsley (S70, S71).As a Geography Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons across Key Stages, inspiring pupils to explore the world around them, develop critical thinking skills, and foster a curiosity for environmental and global issues.This role is ideal for experienced teachers, ECTs, or overseas-trained teachers who have a strong command of the subject and a commitment to excellent classroom practice.Key Responsibilities of Geography Teacher: Plan and deliver high-quality Geography lessons across key stages.Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment.Assess and track pupil progress to support academic achievement.Promote a passion for Geography through creative and engaging teaching.Participate in departmental planning, enrichment activities, and school initiatives.Maintain high standards of behaviour, engagement, and classroom management. The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or overseas equivalent.Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Geography.Experience teaching Geography within a UK or similar curriculum.Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.A positive, proactive, and professional approach.An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
