Role: Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrically Biased)Type: ContractShifts: 4 on 4 off Days (1x position)4 on 4 off Nights (1x position)monday - Friday Days (1x position)Location: Rainham, EssexRequirement: Urgent Supporting Busy Production PeriodsOverviewWe are seeking an Electrically Biased Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to provide engineering support across a fast-paced Food/FMCG manufacturing site during peak operational demand.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out planned and reactive maintenance on production machineryElectrical fault finding on motors, sensors, control panels and automation equipmentSupport mechanical maintenance tasks as requiredRespond quickly to breakdowns to minimise production downtimeComplete maintenance records, inspections and engineering documentationWork to site H&S standards, safe isolation procedures, and engineering complianceAssist with installation, testing and commissioning of machinery where needed Required Experience & SkillsProven experience as a Maintenance Engineer within Food, Beverage, or FMCG manufacturingStrong electrical bias with mechanical competencyConfident fault finding on industrial equipment and control systemsAbility to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematicsLevel 3 NVQ / City & Guilds / HNC/HND in Engineering (or equivalent)Strong understanding of safe working practices and permit-to-work systemsImmediate availability preferred due to urgent workload requirements
