Job DescriptionBusiness Consultant – Control Room Products and Services (UK Public Sector – Policing & Fire) We are currently seeking a Business Consultant to join our established Public Safety Application Consultancy Team, with a dedicated focus on Control Room products and services for the UK Public sector, specifically policing and fire & rescue services. The Public Safety Application Consultancy team consists of experienced professionals with specialist knowledge across mission-critical systems and services, including command and control systems, Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD), Integrated communications, data migration and system integration. This role will suit an individual with hands-on experience in control room operations, who understands the pressures, standards, and compliance obligations within emergency service environments. The successful candidate will bring subject matter expertise and industry insight to enhance the team’s capabilities, while actively contributing to the continued development of our consultancy offerings. The successful candidate will report directly to the Consultancy Team Leader and collaborate with colleagues across product management, project delivery, testing and support. Key Responsibilities Deliver high quality consultancy to UK Police and Fire Services customers, with a strong emphasis on NECSWS Control Room Products and Service Implementations. Act as a subject matter expert in the delivery and configuration of NECSWS Control Room products. Engage with customers to understand operational requirements, identify gaps, and recommend solutions that align with their requirements. Deliver consultancy and support in multiple formats including on-site, virtual, and through tailored documentation. Carry out presentations/demonstrations for delegates depending on facilities available, as and when required. Lead and contribute to the development of new consultancy offerings, for newly developed software/services. Make recommendations relating to best use of NECSWS software in line with the client’s business needs. Ensure all consultancy is delivered effectively and achieves positive customer feedback. Ensure customer satisfaction with the products and services, feeding back any issues into the consultancy group and other internal stakeholders. Progress and update knowledge of NECSWS products and services. Extend your own and other consultancy team members’ capability to deliver consultancy through internal training and mentoring.
