Deputy Manager – Residential Care Home (New Service Opening Spring 2026)Location: York Salary: £34,000 – 35,000Job Type: Full-time A brand-new luxury care home in York, is opening in Spring 2026, and we are looking for a compassionate and experienced Deputy Manager to join the leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new service from the very beginning. About the Home Our new, high-quality residential care home will offer:An in-house bar and restaurant-standard dining roomsA full beauty salon and hairdressing roomA cinema and convenience storeOutdoor terraces on each floorBeautiful landscaped gardens featuring a bowling green, allotments, and private seating areasAll bedrooms will be spacious, fully furnished, en-suite, and designed with premium décor. About the RoleAs Deputy Manager, you will support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home and take full responsibility in their absence. You will uphold the values of dignity, independence, privacy, choice, rights, and fulfilment for all residents.Key responsibilities include: Supporting the Registered Manager to ensure full compliance with health and safety and care standardsConducting care reviews with residents and familiesAssisting with quality assurance, audits, systems, and proceduresLeading and motivating the care team, promoting high standards of careSharing on-call duties with the management teamOverseeing daily documentation, rotas, and staff meetingsCommunicating effectively with residents, relatives, staff, and external professionalsTraining, inducting, and supervising staff About YouWe are looking for someone who is: Flexible, caring, and compassionatePositive, self-motivated, and well organisedAble to work both independently and as part of a teamA strong communicatorProfessional and confident in supporting and guiding junior colleaguesWilling to undertake any necessary trainingExperience in a Deputy or Registered Manager position is preferred; however, experienced Senior Care Assistants with the right attitude and leadership qualities will also be considered.
