Recruiting a class 2 / Shunter for a Large distribution company in Thurrock, Essex. Applicants must have a full valid HGV Class 2 License. Shifts: * 14:00 - 22:00* Monday to Friday * 60 min unpaid. Key Responsibilities: Move, park, and position trailers within the depot yard safely and efficiently Ensure the correct trailer is placed on the correct depot door at the right time Remove full trailers and replace them with empty trailers as required Conduct basic visual checks on trailers before shunting Communicate effectively with the traffic office, warehouse staff, and drivers Follow all yard safety rules and site procedures Maintain clean and safe working areas Report any vehicle or trailer defects immediately Requirements: Previous shunting or yard driving experience preferred Strong awareness of depot safety procedures Good communication skills Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently Must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather First Call Contract Services are an employer of choice for candidates from many backgrounds, such as delivery driver, warehouse, customer service, support worker, retail associate, cleaner and many more.
