Job DescriptionAs a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will have knowledge and experience in pre and post-contract management and procurement within the UK rail sector. The senior quantity surveyor will be expected to utilise their major project experience and knowledge to drive efficiencies and effective supply chain engagement. The role will be supporting our design team for early stages of the project through the initial design phase.Ideally candidates will have a Rail or Infrastructure background, if they have worked on MEP projects this would be beneficial. We can also consider candidates with experience in Highways, Construction, Utilities and the Energy sector. Role Responsibilities:NEC3/4 Option C Contract management and administrationEstablish and manage entitlement, with key focus on gaining full entitlement under the terms of the SubcontractThe quantity surveyor will lead the review and valuation of contractor applications for payment in accordance with contractual terms and conditions and contractual entitlementManaging Subcontractor's AccountsLiaison and negotiation with the Customer’s Commercial and/or project teamEstablishing and maintaining productive and collaborative relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholdersEnsure appropriate commercial records are maintained in line with the contract requirements and oversee any contractual issuesInvestigate and draft contract communications and notices including Early Warning Notices, notification of Compensation Events, General CommunicationsProvide contractual and commercial risk advice to the Commercial team and wider Technical and Construction Delivery teamsManage, monitor and report on commercial and cost reporting aspects of allocated projects and portfolio of worksSupport the programme and project teams to ensure full compliance with contract and corporate governance rules
