We have a great opportunity available to join Novus, our prison education provider at HMP Frankland, as a Deputy Local Education Manager. This position is offered on a permanent full-time basis, working 37 hours per week. Who are Novus? Site Information HMP Frankland is a high-security prison located in Durham, forming part of the Tees & Wear region. It plays a vital role in the UK's custodial system, housing Category A and B prisoners. The establishment is recognised for its structured and secure environment, with a strong focus on rehabilitation and education Role Responsibilities Please see the attached role profile for an overview of general role responsibilities. Skills, Qualifications and Experience To be successful in this role, you will need to: Teaching qualification - minimum Cert Ed or PGCE Hold at least a Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy Developing, leading and managing a team effectively Managing colleagues including the deployment of those colleagues and appropriate delegation of tasks Implementing and managing continuous quality assurance and improvement procedures Successful partnership working Working within a secure environment Working with learners with challenging behaviour Benefits 40 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays 2 hours for wellbeing / personal development per week Significant Pension contributions Retail Discounts Employee Assistance Program Cycle to work scheme Safeguarding The LTE Group is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
