Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Ipswich, Suffolk | £42,000 + Overtime | Weekly Pay Monday–Friday | Days Only Were looking for a practical, hands-on Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a small, supportive engineering team near Ipswich. If you enjoy varied mechanical work, don't mind a dusty/industrial environment and like a mix of workshop and site-based tasks, this could be a great fit. What you'll be doing: Mechanical maintenance and repairs across a range of plant and equipment. Working on mixers, hoppers, cranes, trucks and general machinery. Supporting agricultural systems (feeders, drinkers, heaters, site kit). Diagnosing faults and keeping equipment running safely and efficiently. Travelling to local sites for breakdowns and installations. Joining an every-other-weekend call-out rota (with additional payments). What we're looking for: Level 3 Mechanical qualification or strong equivalent experience. Confident working on plant, vehicles, and general mechanical systems. Comfortable in a dusty, dirty, heavy industrial/agricultural environment. Background from industrial, forces, heavy plant, automotive or agriculture. Basic electrical knowledge is useful but not essential.
