Childcare Practitioner - Permanent Role (Chester) Start Date: 5 January 2026 | 4 Days a Week | 07:30-18:00 Simply Education is thrilled to be recruiting for two full time Level 3 Childcare Practitioners to join a beautiful early years setting based at an independent school in Chester. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Level 3 Qualified Childcare Practitioner to join a nurturing, supportive nursery environment and make a real difference in young children's lives, where the staff will make you feel part of their family from day one. Your Care Experience Can Transform a Young Child's Life If you have experience in: Supporting learning through play Reading stories and helping with early number skills Understanding child development and recognising developmental milestones Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures Assessing children's progress through observation and record-keeping These skills make you an excellent fit for a nursery environment. Your ability to nurture, guide, and support young children will help them grow, learn, and thrive every day. About the Role A permanent position based in a well-regarded nursery in Chester.Hours: 07:30 - 18:00 (4 days per week)Salary: £25,000 to £27,000 per annum (dependent on experience)Start Date: 5 January 2026 You will support young children as they learn, grow, and develop, providing a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment every day. What We're Looking For A recognised Level 3 Childcare qualification or above (or QTS) At least 6 months' experience working within a nursery (however, passionate applicants will still be considered) Solid understanding of the EYFS curriculum 10-year checkable work/education history Proof of Right to Work in the UK Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare Ability to build strong relationships with children, parents, carers, and colleagues Adaptability, reliability, and strong initiative Experience of the UK curriculum (minimum 6 months) Compliance Requirements Simply Education maintains the highest standards of vetting and safeguarding: 2 years of referencing Enhanced DBS check All offers are conditional upon satisfactory background checks REC Audited Education Status maintained at all times Why Work With Simply Education?
