Toolmaker, Precision Machinist/Bench Fitter | Kent | Full Time | £35,360 – £47,840 per annum (£17–£23 per hour) depending on experienceOur client is a leading expert in the manufacture of components using high-speed press technology. They’re dedicated to providing their clients with precision pressings as Europe’s leading spring manufacturer and supplier, and their products are used in major industrial environments all over the world. They are looking for a skilled Toolmaker, Bench Fitter, or Machinist (Mill/Lathe) to build, maintain, and repair progressive press tools used in high-volume stamping operations. This role suits someone with strong precision machining skills, excellent understanding of 2D and 3D layouts, and hands-on experience with complex production tooling.What’s in it for you? Manufacture, assemble, and refurbish progression press tools and related tooling to tight tolerancesDiagnose tool failures and carry out timely repairs to minimise downtimePerform tool fitting, die sharpening, grinding, and bench work to high standardsCollaborate with press operators, engineers, and the design team to optimise tool performance and part qualityWorking with machining equipment, precision grinders, mills and lathes and other relevant toolsFollowing technical drawings and specifications accuratelyMaintaining equipment and performing quality checksSupporting other team members when requiredAdhering to all health and safety procedures What’s next?
