Job Title: History Teacher Location: Sheffield (S2, S3) Pay rate: Upto £1100 per week (Depending on experience) Start Date: January 2026 Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-timeDo you have the passion for making history meaningful and inspiring learners to connect with the past?GSL Education are hiring a passionate History Teacher in Sheffield (S2 & S3), helping students explore events, perspectives, and skills.As a History Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons that encourage critical thinking, analysis, and curiosity, helping students connect historical knowledge to the present and develop a love for the subject.Main Responsibilities of History Teacher: Plan, prepare, and deliver stimulating history lessons that engage all learners.Develop students’ skills in critical thinking, research, and analysis.Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and support.Encourage discussion, debate, and a deeper understanding of historical events and themes.Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to support learning.Maintain a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment. Requirements: Qualified teacher status (QTS) with experience teaching history.Strong knowledge of historical topics and the curriculum.Excellent classroom management and communication skills.Ability to motivate students and foster enthusiasm for history.An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).Professional approach to safeguarding and student welfare.
