OVERVIEWAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and driven Project Manager to join a reputable construction consultancy. This role offers the opportunity to lead and deliver a wide range of construction projects across both pre- and post-contract stages.This position is ideal for an experienced Project Manager seeking to take full ownership of projects, manage teams and stakeholders, and play a key role in delivering successful project outcomes. The business places strong emphasis on professional development, wellbeing, and clear career progression pathways for their project management team.ROLEAs a Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of construction projects from inception through to completion. You will manage all aspects of project delivery, including programme, cost, quality, risk, and stakeholder coordination.The role encompasses contract administration, project programming, consultant and contractor management, client communication, and leadership of the wider project team. You will act as the primary point of contact for clients and play a key role in driving projects forward to successful completion.RESPONSIBILITIESKey responsibilities include:Managing construction projects across all stages of deliveryActing as the primary client point of contactLeading and chairing project and design team meetings and issuing minutesPreparing, maintaining, and managing project programmes and documentationCoordinating consultants, contractors, and stakeholdersManaging project risk, change control, and reportingOverseeing tender processes, procurement, and contract administrationMonitoring progress against programme, cost, and quality targetsProviding regular progress updates to clients and internal stakeholdersSupporting junior team members and contributing to team developmentDriving a professional, proactive, and solutions-focused project approachPERSONThe ideal Project Manager will demonstrate:A relevant construction or built environment degree (or equivalent experience)Proven experience delivering construction projects within a consultancy or contractor environmentStrong working knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contractsExperience working with developers, consultants, and/or main contractorsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsStrong organisational, planning, and time management abilitiesA proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to manage projects independentlyCompetency with Microsoft Office and project management softwareSound understanding of RIBA stages and procurement processesA strong technical understanding of construction methodologiesREMUNERATIONIn return for your contribution, our client offers a competitive and comprehensive package, including:Competitive salary, dependent on experienceCompany pension schemePrivate healthcareFull-time, permanent positionSupportive, professional, and collaborative working environmentOngoing professional development and career progression supportEqual opportunities employerAtkins Search acts as an employment agency for the Built Environment including but not limited to Construction, Consultancy, Residential and Infrastructure sectors.
