Job Title: Cover Supervisor (CS) Location: Sheffield (S11) Pay rate: £460-£650 per week (Depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate/ January 2026 Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-timeAre you someone who can step confidently into the classroom and keep learning on track when teachers are absent?GSL Education are recruiting reliable Cover Supervisors to work within schools across Sheffield, supporting settings located in the S11 postcode area.As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will oversee classes during short-term staff absences, ensuring pupils stay focused, complete set work, and follow school expectations. This role offers a valuable opportunity for those who enjoy working with young people and want hands-on experience in an educational setting.Kay Responsibilities: Oversee whole-class learning using work provided by teaching staff.Maintain a calm and orderly classroom atmosphere.Encourage students to stay engaged and complete assigned tasks.Manage behaviour confidently and follow school behaviour policies.Deal with any issues appropriately and report concerns to senior staff.Ensure students’ safety and wellbeing throughout the school day. Requirements of Cover Supervisor: Experience working with children or young people in any relevant setting.Confidence leading a classroom and communicating clearly with students.A flexible, organised, and professional approach.Ability to respond positively to challenging situations.An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).A strong awareness of safeguarding responsibilities.
