Job Title: Geography & History Teacher - Maternity Cover Location: Secondary School, Cannock Chase Start Date: 19th January 2026 Contract Type: Fixed-term (Maternity Cover, until end of academic year July 2026) Salary: Paid to scale About the Role Simply Education is working in partnership with a secondary school in Cannock to recruit a dedicated Geography and History Teacher for a maternity cover position. This role begins on 19th January 2026 and will continue until the end of the academic year in July 2026. It offers the opportunity to inspire and engage students across Key Stages 3 and 4. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging lessons in Geography and History. Plan, prepare, and assess work to ensure excellent student progress. Maintain high standards of classroom management and safeguarding. Contribute positively to the wider school community. Candidate Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Strong subject knowledge in both Geography and History. A genuine passion for teaching and motivating students. Excellent communication and organisational skills.
