Support Worker Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: £12.72 per hour (sleep-in £12.21 for 12 hours) Hours: 37.5 hours per week (with a sleep-in it is 47.5 hours) Location: Fishponds, Kingswood, Hanham, and Staple Hill We are looking to recruit a Support Worker to join a community-based Learning Difficulties team supporting individuals to achieve greater independence, wellbeing, and stability. This role focuses on delivering person-centred, outcomes-led support to people with learning difficulties, mental ill health, and additional needs, enabling them to engage positively within their local communities. About the role As a Support Worker, you will manage a caseload of individuals, developing and reviewing personalised support plans that reflect individual goals and strengths. You will work collaboratively with service users, families, and external professionals to ensure risks are assessed, outcomes are monitored, and support remains effective and responsive. The role requires a flexible, creative approach to engagement, crisis prevention, and recovery-focused practice. The successful applicant will undergo a free enhanced disclosure from the disclosure barring service & other compliance checks required.We are looking to recruit for one person for our Learning Difficulties team and one for our Forensics team. Suitable candidates would have at least 12 months experience of supporting people with a mental ill health diagnosis. We would like candidates to have experience of working with individuals who have either a learning difficulty and/ or individuals who have come through a forensics pathway and with individuals who have drug and/ or alcohol addiction. For both teams we are happy to accept applications from male or females. They need to be able to drive and to have access to their own vehicle. The geography that staff would be working in is Fishponds, Kingswood, Hanham, and Staple Hill. As discussed, the hourly rate is £12.72. Employees also have the option to a contracted sleep-in once they have completed their induction, which is paid at £12.21 for 12 hours. A full-time contract without a sleep in is 37.5 hours, with a sleep-in it is 47.5 hours.
