Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Senior Planning Engineer to join our industrial and manufacturing team in Sheffield, United Kingdom. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimising the planning and scheduling of complex manufacturing projects, ensuring efficient resource allocation and timely project delivery.Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies for industrial and manufacturing projectsAnalyse project requirements, technical drawings, and specifications to create detailed work breakdown structuresUtilise advanced planning and scheduling software to monitor project progress and identify potential bottlenecks or delaysCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of project goals and timelinesImplement and maintain lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologiesPrepare and present regular project status reports to senior management and stakeholdersIdentify and mitigate risks that may impact project timelines or budgetsMentor junior planning engineers and provide technical guidance to the teamContribute to the development and improvement of planning processes and best practices
