Teaching Assistant - Primary (Additional Needs Support) Tradewind Recruitment is seeking caring and committed Teaching Assistants to work in mainstream primary schools, supporting children with additional learning and developmental needs. These roles involve working closely with class teachers to provide targeted support, helping pupils access the curriculum, build confidence, and achieve their potential within a mainstream setting. Key responsibilities include: Providing 1:1 or small-group support for pupils with additional needs Supporting learning, engagement, and social development in the classroom Assisting with behaviour support and emotional regulation strategies Helping pupils follow individual education plans (IEPs/EHCPs) Creating a positive, inclusive learning environment The ideal candidate will have: Experience supporting children with additional needs (SEND) in a school setting A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach Strong communication and teamwork skills Relevant qualifications or training (desirable but not essential) Why work with Tradewind Recruitment?
