Job Title: Year 6 Teacher Location: Derbyshire (DE12) Pay rate: £150–£230 per day (Depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-timeAre you confident in preparing pupils for the transition to secondary education while maintaining a positive and supportive classroom environment?GSL Education are recruiting a Year 6 Teacher to work among schools in Derbyshire and the DE12 postcode areas, supporting pupils during this important and challenging stage of their learning journey.As a Year 6 Teacher, you will deliver well-planned lessons that strengthen knowledge, resilience, and independence, while helping pupils build study habits and confidence as they prepare for assessments and the next stage of education.Core Responsibilities of Year 6 Teacher: Deliver structured lessons aligned with the national curriculum.Prepare pupils for assessments using clear and supportive teaching strategies.Track progress and provide meaningful feedback to support improvement.Promote positive behaviour and a respectful classroom culture.Work closely with colleagues and adhere to school policies and procedures. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification.Experience working within upper Key Stage 2.Strong classroom management and organisational skills.A calm, professional, and proactive teaching approach.An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
