This is a wonderful opportunity to work in a supportive and well-resourced nursery that is open all year round - including during school holidays - offering a Holiday Club programme outside of term time. About the Setting Located in Wimbledon, this nursery provides high-quality care and early education for children aged 6 months to 5 years. With a strong emphasis on learning through play, the setting nurtures every child's emotional, social, and cognitive development. The team is experienced, friendly, and dedicated to providing a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for children to grow and flourish. Key Responsibilities of the Nursery Practitioner: Provide warm, responsive care and supervision to children in line with EYFS requirements. Plan and deliver engaging activities that support children's development across all areas of learning. Observe and record children's progress, contributing to planning and assessments. Build strong relationships with children and their families, offering a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment. Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating learning space both indoors and outdoors. Support the delivery of the nursery's holiday club programmes during school breaks. Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for all children. What We're Looking For: Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Qualification - essential. Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting (including placements). Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). A warm, caring personality with a genuine passion for early childhood education. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. A proactive and flexible approach, with the confidence to support children of varying ages and needs.
