This is an opportunity to lead a vibrant, established and fully occupied EBD home that already has strong foundations. You'll inherit a stable team, a settled group of young people, and a regional network committed to high-quality, trauma-informed care.
You will have the autonomy to build on what's working, introduce your own leadership style, and drive continuous development across the home. With consistent support from regional leadership and access to extensive clinical expertise, this role places you right at the centre of meaningful change.

About the Home & Organisation:
4-bed EBD children's home supporting young people aged 8-18.
Stable staffing structure and consistent routines already in place.
Strong regional support across safeguarding, compliance and operations.
Access to a multi-disciplinary specialist and clinical team, including:
Practitioner Psychologist
Therapist
Harmful Sexual Behaviour Advisor
Exploitation Advisor
Specialist Police Advisor
Therapeutic Practice Trainer
Educational Psychologists
A therapeutic approach centred on emotional safety, aspiration and relational care.
Organisation with a clear focus on progression, development, and creating future senior leaders.
The Role:
Lead the home with ambition, empathy and unwavering commitment to child-centred practice.
Ensure all young people receive tailored, therapeutic support that helps them heal and grow.
Maintain a home environment that is safe, warm, inclusive and structured.
Oversee all operational areas including safeguarding, audits, staffing, rotas and budgeting.
Support, guide and develop your team through reflective practice, supervision and coaching.
Collaborate effectively with external agencies and professionals to secure the best outcomes.
Drive continuous improvement, ensuring all regulatory standards are met and exceeded.
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years' experience working at Senior/Deputy level in a children's residential setting.
Level 3 or Level 4 in Children & Young People's Workforce.
Achieved or working towards Level 5 Leadership & Management (Children & YP).
Strong working knowledge of safeguarding, Children's Home Regulations and relevant legislation.
Confident with budgets, staffing and operational management.
Passionate and committed to achieving high-quality outcomes for children.
Full UK Driving Licence desirable.
Flexibility to undertake on-call duties.
