SEMH Support Teaching Assistant – Thornton
Start Date: After February Half Term Contract Type: Full-Time / Long-Term Salary: Competitive, dependent on experienceTeaching Personnel are looking for a committed and empathetic SEMH Support Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Thornton. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.Role Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs.Assist in implementing behaviour strategies and personalised learning plans.Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and external agencies.Encourage emotional resilience and positive behaviour.
Requirements:
Experience supporting children with SEMH needs (school or care setting).Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Patience and adaptability in challenging situations.A genuine passion for improving outcomes for vulnerable learners.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
