SEMH Support Teaching Assistant – Thornton Start Date: After February Half Term Contract Type: Full-Time / Long-Term Salary: Competitive, dependent on experienceTeaching Personnel are looking for a committed and empathetic SEMH Support Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Thornton. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.Role Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs.Assist in implementing behaviour strategies and personalised learning plans.Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and external agencies.Encourage emotional resilience and positive behaviour. Requirements: Experience supporting children with SEMH needs (school or care setting).Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Patience and adaptability in challenging situations.A genuine passion for improving outcomes for vulnerable learners.
