We’re seeking a committed SEN Support Officer to join our team and support pupils across schools in Swansea.⭐ About the RoleAs an SEN Support Officer, you will work across schools to support children and young people with a wide range of Special Educational Needs (SEN). Your role is to create inclusive, nurturing learning environments where every child feels understood, valued, and supported.This position is rewarding, varied, and ideal for someone who is empathetic, proactive, and dedicated to pupil wellbeing and development. What You’ll Be Doing
Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with a variety of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, communication needs, and PMLD.Supporting children who may be non-verbal, require BSL, or need personal care.Helping to deliver individual support plans and adapt learning materials to match each child’s needs.Encouraging positive behaviour, communication, independence, and emotional regulation.Supporting safe manual handling or mobility assistance for pupils who require it.Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and school-based staff to ensure consistent, coordinated support.Recording progress and maintaining safeguarding standards at all times.

We warmly welcome applicants with experience in:
SEN support (ASD, PMLD, BSL, non-verbal communication, personal care).Health and Social Care roles.Manual handling or mobility support.Sports coaching, physical activity, or movement-based support.Any role involving support for children or adults, paid or voluntary.
Essential:
Experience supporting children or adults in any capacity.Understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice.Willingness to complete an Enhanced DBS check.
Desirable:
Qualifications in SEN, Childcare, Education, or Health & Social Care.Experience working within school settings.
