Outreach Support Worker – Post 16 SEND Location: Thirsk, North Yorkshire Start: January Pay: £90–£110 per day Hours: Monday: 8:30am–4:30pm Tuesday–Friday: 8:30am–1:00pm Teaching Personnel is recruiting an Outreach Support Worker for an independent specialist school supporting post-16 students with Autism, anxiety and social communication needs.This is a site-based role focused on emotional wellbeing, safeguarding, independence and preparation for adulthood, within an all-boys school guided by a strong ethos of kindness, inclusion and conflict resolution.Key Responsibilities Provide consistent SEND and emotional support to post-16 students Build trusting relationships and act as a key point of contact Support social education, wellbeing and EHCP outcomes Promote independence and independent living skills Use calm, restorative approaches to support behaviour and regulation About You Experience with SEND, SEMH or high-anxiety learners Calm, patient and emotionally intelligent Confident supporting young people in a nurturing but structured setting Background in education, care, youth work or outreach preferred Apply via Teaching Personnel or get in touch to find out more.All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
