Job Title: Teaching Assistant (SEN School) Location: MacclesfieldStart Date: January 2026Contract: 3 Months (Temporary) About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Macclesfield. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with additional needs. The role will involve supporting pupils with a range of learning difficulties, ensuring they have access to a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. Key Responsibilities Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEN.Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities.Help manage classroom behaviour and promote positive social interactions.Support pupils with personal care needs where required.Monitor and record pupil progress and report to teaching staff.Foster a nurturing and supportive environment that encourages independence and confidence. Requirements Previous experience working with children with SEN (preferred).Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting learning.Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
